Parker Flat is a designated boat-in campsite along the Smith River float corridor in central Montana, managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. It is accessible only by non-motorized watercraft (rafts, canoes, kayaks, or drift boats) as part of a permitted multi-day float trip through the Smith River canyon. Several Parker Flat sites are clustered in this section — including Upper Parker Flat and numbered sites — set amid dramatic limestone canyon walls. No water source is available on site, and there are no toilet facilities; floaters are required to carry agency-approved portable toilets and pack out all human waste. The permitted float season runs April 1 through August 15, and all trips require a permit obtained through the annual FWP lottery. Group size is limited to 15 people per party.
