County Line is a designated boat-in campsite at approximately mile 25.5 along the Smith River float corridor, a 59-mile route between Camp Baker (put-in) and Eden Bridge (take-out) in Cascade County, Montana. Access is exclusively by non-motorized watercraft as part of the permit lottery system administered by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The site sits in an open area flanked by mountains and small cliffs, with a wide, shallow river section adjacent. A valid float permit is required for overnight use. Since 2024, FWP requires all floaters to pack out human waste from all sites along the river corridor.
