Crows Foot is a designated boat camp along the Smith River, located at approximately mile 32 of the 59-mile permitted float corridor between Camp Baker and Eden Bridge. The site sits on a sweeping river bend, providing wide-open panoramic views with minimal tree cover or shade. Access is exclusively by non-motorized watercraft; a Smith River float permit—issued through an annual lottery administered by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks—is required to use this camp. No drinking water or toilet facilities are available on-site; floaters must carry and use approved portable toilet systems and pack out all human waste.
