Spring Creek is a designated boat-in campsite along the Smith River, located approximately 4.4 miles downstream from the Camp Baker put-in. It is one of 27 boat camps within the permitted 59-mile Smith River corridor in Meagher County, Montana. Access is exclusively by non-motorized watercraft through the Montana FWP permit lottery system. The site has no developed water or toilet facilities — floaters must carry all food and water and pack out human waste using approved hard-sided containers. During peak season (May 15 through July 15), camping is limited to a maximum of four nights total along the river. The typical float season runs mid-April through mid-July.
