Rising Sun Campground sits on the eastern shore of St. Mary Lake in Glacier National Park, 6.2 miles southwest of the town of St. Mary. The campground offers 83 sites spread across two loops, with the north loop (sites 49–84) designated generator-free. Ten sites can accommodate RVs or truck-and-trailer combinations up to 25 feet. Potable water and flush toilets are available on-site. A camp store, casual restaurant, and coin-operated showers are adjacent to the campground. A shuttle stop for the Going-to-the-Sun Road corridor is nearby, providing access to Logan Pass and other trailheads across the park. Boat tours on St. Mary Lake depart a short distance away. Rangers lead evening programs during peak season. The campground is first-come, first-served and typically fills early each morning in summer. Views of Red Eagle Mountain frame the sunrise from many sites.
