Mokowanis Junction is a primitive backcountry wilderness campsite in Glacier National Park, located at a trail junction along the Mokowanis River drainage approximately 13 miles from the nearest trailhead. The campsite offers 5 tent sites with vault toilet facilities but no potable water. Campfires are prohibited throughout the area. A wilderness use permit is required for all overnight stays and must be obtained in advance through Recreation.gov or via walk-up at a backcountry ranger station. The site is hike-in only and sits at a crossroads of trails connecting to the Stoney Indian Pass and Glenns Lake routes in the park's remote northeastern backcountry.
