Lake Francis is a backcountry wilderness campsite within Glacier National Park, reachable only on foot. The site sits near a glacially-fed lake in the park's remote northwestern section, roughly 6.5 miles from the Goat Haunt boat ramp. A vault toilet is provided, but there is no potable water on-site — visitors must carry in water or treat water collected from natural sources. No campfires are permitted. A wilderness use permit is required for all overnight stays and must be secured in advance through Recreation.gov; a non-refundable permit fee and a per-person nightly camping fee apply. Each campsite accommodates a maximum of four people.
