Remote backcountry shelters situated at the southern tip of Upper Waterton Lake in the northern wilderness of Glacier National Park. The shelters are three-sided covered structures with concrete floors, designed for tent camping in one of the park's most isolated and scenic settings. Access is by hiking trail or by ferry from Waterton, Alberta, Canada — no road access exists. A wilderness permit is required for overnight stays and must be secured through Recreation.gov in advance during the main season. Visitors who cross the U.S.-Canada border must use the CBP ROAM app to comply with U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry requirements.
