Upper Nyack Creek is a primitive backcountry wilderness campsite in Glacier National Park, situated along Nyack Creek in one of the park's most remote and seldom-visited corridors. Reaching the site requires fording the Middle Fork of the Flathead River at Nyack Crossing before continuing on the Nyack Creek Trail — a route suited only for experienced backcountry travelers. A vault toilet is provided, but no potable water is available, so all water must be filtered or treated from creek sources. A backcountry permit is required year-round for all overnight stays, with fees charged per person per night. Permits can be reserved in advance through Recreation.gov or obtained walk-in at park permit offices during the operating season.
