Camas Lake is a remote wilderness campsite in the heart of Glacier National Park's Camas Valley, accessible only by a long backcountry trail originating near North Fork Road. The route spans roughly 13 miles one way and includes several stream crossings — the most demanding ford lies between Rogers Lake and Trout Lake, which can be difficult during early-season high water but is typically manageable by mid-summer. The campsite offers two designated sites with a vault toilet; no potable water is available, so visitors must treat water from natural sources. An overnight wilderness permit is required for all stays, obtainable through Recreation.gov or in person at a Glacier National Park permit office. The remote setting and trail obstacles make this campsite best suited for experienced backcountry travelers.
