Upper Kintla Lake is a remote wilderness backcountry campsite in Glacier National Park, reachable only on foot via roughly 12 miles of trail from the Kintla Lake trailhead in the park's North Fork region. The site has four designated tent sites with a vault toilet; there is no potable water available. A wilderness use permit is required for all overnight stays, and all food and scented items must be stored using designated bear infrastructure — grizzly bears are common in this area. The lake itself is closed to all fishing due to the presence of endangered bull trout. This site serves as a staging point for accessing Boulder Pass and the surrounding high-alpine terrain.
