Sperry is a four-site backcountry wilderness campground in Glacier National Park, reached by a roughly 6.5-mile hike along the Gunsight Pass Trail from the Lake McDonald Lodge trailhead. Situated near the historic Sperry Chalet at high elevation, the sites offer dramatic alpine scenery but no vehicle access. Vault toilets are on site. Advance permits are required May through October through the Glacier wilderness reservation system on Recreation.gov; a per-person nightly fee applies. Mountain goats are common in the area and are known to approach campers seeking salt from packs and clothing.
