Quartz Lake is a primitive backcountry campsite in the remote North Fork area of Glacier National Park. Three lakeside sites are clustered on the shoreline at the foot of the lake, reached by hiking the Quartz Lake Loop trail system from Bowman Lake — approximately 13 miles total. A vault toilet is located uphill from the sleeping areas, and a designated food preparation zone with bear hang poles is situated further along the lakeshore. No potable water is available; lake water must be treated before use. A wilderness use permit is required for all overnight stays, valid only for the specified dates, locations, and party size. Walk-up permits are available at the Polebridge permit station seasonally.
