Kintla Lake Head is a remote wilderness campsite at the upper end of Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park's North Fork area. The site is reached by a roughly 12-mile hike along the Boulder Pass Trail from the frontcountry Kintla Lake Campground, or by paddling the length of the lake. Six designated backcountry sites accommodate small groups seeking solitude in one of the park's quietest corners. A vault toilet is on-site, but no treated water is available — visitors must filter or treat water from the lake. A wilderness permit is required for all overnight stays and must be obtained through Recreation.gov. The nearest services are in Polebridge, about 14 miles away via unpaved road.
