Peninsula is a primitive camping area in Jack Bay State Marine Park featuring two tent platforms on the eastern tip of the mainland. The camping sites share a communal fire ring and cooking area. This boat-in or fly-in only site is located about 15 miles southeast of Valdez, beyond Valdez Narrows. Water must be obtained from the northern shore of the bay. The park encompasses 811 acres of uplands consisting of alder, muskeg, salt marsh, and old growth forest of spruce and hemlock. Access is only by boat or floatplane from Valdez.
