A primitive paddle-in campsite situated along the Copper River near Chitina, Alaska. Located along the extensive Copper River paddle route that connects Chitina to Cordova, this remote backcountry site is accessible exclusively by watercraft. The site provides no developed infrastructure, utilities, or freshwater supply. Paddlers should arrive fully prepared with all necessary camping equipment and follow Leave No Trace wilderness camping protocols.
Management data for the fisheries is obtained primarily by ADF&G at the Miles Lake sonar station and via the native village of Eyak at the Baird Canyon and Canyon Creek research stations
Proper food storage is required. Bear Resistant Food Containers (BRFC) are available for borrowing from visitor centers
