Twin Lakes (Tw7) is a designated backcountry campsite in Banff National Park, reachable from either the Vista Lake viewpoint off Highway 93 (8.7 km one way) or the Altrude Creek trailhead near the Trans-Canada Highway. The site provides tent pads, an outhouse, and food storage. No campfires are permitted. Twin Lakes is a popular overnight stop on multi-day backcountry routes linking to the Egypt Lake area. A Parks Canada backcountry permit is mandatory and must be reserved in advance.
