Bow River Canoe Camp (Bo1C) is a paddle-in backcountry campground in Banff National Park, accessible only by canoe or non-motorized watercraft along the Bow River. The campsite is located on the downstream side of Johnston Creek and is the only designated camping location along the Bow River through Banff. Paddlers must hold a backcountry permit for overnight stays. The river through this section features a steady current with numerous riffles, islands, and Class 1 rapids; paddlers should be aware of one Class 3 rapid near Redearth Creek. Fires are permitted in the designated fire pit. A Parks Canada backcountry use and camping pass and advance reservation are required.
