Egypt Lake is a backcountry campground in Banff National Park, accessible via a 12.4 km one-way hike from the Sunshine Village ski area parking lot (Healy Pass Trailhead). The campground occupies a meadow above Pharaoh Creek and offers 15 tent pads spread along the approach trail, along with food lockers, outhouses, and a shared cooking area with picnic tables. Note that the campground is situated roughly 0.75 km from Egypt Lake itself, making it a base for day hikes to Egypt Lake, Pharaoh Lake, Black Rock Lake, and Whistling Pass. Advance reservations through Parks Canada are required. The backcountry shelter at the site is currently closed for major repairs.
