Shadow Lake backcountry campsite is located in Banff National Park, accessible from the Redearth Creek trailhead off Highway 1 (approximately 14 kilometres one way). The campground has five tent pads in the forest near the shore of Shadow Lake, along with a pit toilet, a cook area, picnic seating, and bear lockers. No campfires are permitted. Shadow Lake Lodge, operated by the Alpine Club of Canada, is located nearby. A Parks Canada backcountry permit is mandatory and must be reserved in advance.
