Cameahwait Campground sits on the eastern shore of Clark Canyon Reservoir, approximately 20 miles south of Dillon on I-15, managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. The reservoir lies along the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, where the expedition passed through the Beaverhead Valley in 1805. Each campsite includes a picnic table — many with covered shelters — and a fire ring, with vault toilets and a central hand-pump water source available seasonally. No hookups are provided; this is a primitive dry-camping area. The reservoir supports fishing, boating, and water skiing, with a boat ramp nearby. Camping is free with a 14-day maximum stay limit.
