Beaverhead River campground sits on the eastern shore of Clark Canyon Reservoir, about 20 miles south of Dillon via Interstate 15. Managed by the Bureau of Reclamation, the campground offers free, first-come-first-served access with vault toilets, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings. A boat ramp provides access to the reservoir's 4,935 acres of water, which supports fishing for rainbow and brown trout. The facility is ADA accessible and accommodates both tent campers and RVs. A 14-day maximum stay applies. The reservoir area holds significant historical importance as the site of Camp Fortunate on the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.
