Lot K is a primitive camping area within Locust Creek Conservation Area, a Missouri Department of Conservation property covering extensive bottomland along Locust Creek in Sullivan County. Camping is permitted on or adjacent to designated parking lots year-round, with walk-in, float-in, and backpack camping also available except during firearms deer and turkey seasons. No facilities or water hookups are provided at the lot. The Locust Creek bottoms support rich wildlife habitat including large deer populations, waterfowl, and songbirds, attracting hunters, anglers, and nature enthusiasts. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days in any 30-day period at no charge.
