A primitive paddle-in camping site on Little Merganser Lake within the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge near Sterling. The lake is accessed via the Swan Lake canoe trail system that links multiple lakes through portages. This is a dispersed camping area with minimal facilities - vault toilet available but no potable water. The site provides access to wilderness camping along one of the refuge canoe routes. Camping is limited to 14 days in any 30-day period. Only dead or downed wood may be collected for fires, which must be in established grates or stoves. The lake is part of the 120-mile network connecting 70 lakes used for multi-day canoe trips through the refuge backcountry.
