A small, primitive campground with 3 wooded sites on the shores of Engineer Lake along Skilak Lake Road in the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Located near Cooper Landing, this quiet facility includes water, firepits, vault toilets, and a rough boat launch suitable for small trailers. All campsites are first-come, first-served with no reservation system. Open May through September depending on road conditions. Access via Skilak Lake Loop Road at mile 75.3 on the Sterling Highway, then 8 miles east to the campground sign. Additionally, a 16x18 foot rustic log cabin built in 2005 is available for reservation through Recreation.gov at current rates of $55 per night.
