Explore Campgrounds

Verdant Cove is a paddle-in camping area located in Aialik Bay within Kenai Fjords National Park. The cove features two private property parcels, but camping is permitted on the south beach which includes a bear-resistant food storage locker. This backcountry site is accessible only by kayak or other non-motorized watercraft. Campers should be aware of property boundaries and respect private land while using the designated public camping area. The location offers scenic views of the bay and surrounding mountains in a wilderness setting. Weather conditions can change rapidly, and paddlers should be experienced in surf landings and comfortable with self-sufficient backcountry camping. No other facilities or services are provided at this remote location.
