A paddle-in camping site in Aialik Bay, one of the highlights of kayak camping in Kenai Fjords National Park. The Aialik Bay Ranger Station is located in a small cove just south of Coleman Bay. A small pocket beach north of the ranger station provides camping opportunities with access to reliable water sources. The site may be seasonally closed to protect nesting black oystercatchers. No food storage facilities are present, but large trees are available for hanging food using proper bear-safe techniques. Coleman Bay is mentioned alongside other popular Aialik Bay destinations including Aialik Glacier, Pederson Lagoon, Abra Cove, Holgate Arm and Glacier, and Quicksand Cove.
