Southwestern Glacier camping site is located in Northwestern Fjord within Kenai Fjords National Park, accessible only by kayak or water taxi. The small beach offers limited camping space, especially during high tide, making it suitable only for small groups. A food storage locker is located approximately 50 meters from the high tide line. Strong glacial winds are common in this area, requiring sturdy tent setups and wind-resistant gear. Additional camping space is available on a nearby smaller beach. The site provides dramatic views of Southwestern Glacier and the surrounding glaciated landscape of Northwestern Fjord.
