A remote backcountry camping location accessible only by kayak or water taxi in Aialik Bay. The site consists of a public easement on a one-acre forested spit with a food storage locker, surrounded by private property owned by Port Graham Village Corporation. Campers staying on the public easement are limited to 24-hour visits. The lagoon sits at the base of Pedersen Glacier and offers sheltered waters for kayaking and wildlife viewing including harbor seals and sea otters. Most of the shoreline requires permits from the Corporation for foot travel above the mean high tide line. This is a primitive site with no facilities - visitors must practice Leave No Trace principles and proper bear-country food storage. The name was officially corrected from 'Pederson' to 'Pedersen' by the U.S. Board on Geographic Names in 2000.
