A year-round accessible campground located at Mile 10.5 of the Elliott Highway, approximately 22 miles north of Fairbanks. The 400-acre facility surrounds a 16-acre pond stocked with Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling. Campers enjoy access to trails, a reservable picnic shelter, and a public-use cabin. The Lower Chatanika recreation area provides opportunities for fishing, hiking, berry picking, boating, ATV use, snow machining, ice fishing, dog sledding, and cross-country skiing.
