A Bureau of Land Management campground at milepost 60 of the Steese Highway, northeast of Fairbanks. The campground features 12 drive-in sites and 6 walk-in tent sites along the Chatanika River. Facilities include a hand pump well for potable water, vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. A short interpretive trail winds through white spruce forest along the river, offering opportunities to view wildlife including Arctic Grayling in the river and various bird species. The site serves as a launch point for a 25-mile float trip to Upper Chatanika State Recreation Site.
