A developed campground within the Chena Lake Recreation Area, a 2,000-acre municipal park managed by the Fairbanks North Star Borough Parks and Recreation Department. Located 17 miles southeast of Fairbanks and 3 miles from North Pole, Lake Park features 45 campsites including 11 pull-through sites available on a first-come, first-served basis. The facility also includes 6 tent-only sites on an island accessible by boat. Recreation amenities include a swimming beach with sandy shores, boat launch, boat rental facility (paddle boats, row boats, canoes, kayaks), two fishing docks with one ADA-accessible dock, picnic areas with tables and fire rings, two covered rental pavilions, playground, and volleyball and horseshoe areas. Camping is limited to 5 consecutive nights or 10 nights within a 30-day period. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day with quiet hours from 10pm to 6am.
