About

Backcountry camping area at the second of three alpine lakes along the Triple Lakes Trail in Denali National Park, part of Unit 1. This backcountry unit is unique in Denali as the only area with established primitive campsites. Located along the 9.5-mile Triple Lakes Trail, the second lake offers established camping sites with no facilities. Campsites require camping at least 100 feet from the water. The unit operates under a 12-person per night quota managed on a first-come, first-served basis through the Backcountry Information Center. The trail passes through boreal forest habitat home to moose, beavers, and grayling-filled lakes.
