A scenic campground located at Mile 13 of Denali Park Road near the end of the publicly accessible paved section. Savage River offers 32 sites below treeline at approximately 3,000 feet elevation, with brush-screened sites providing privacy. The campground is one of only two in Denali where Mount McKinley is visible on clear days. Visitors can drive their personal vehicles or RVs directly to the campground, or use the free shuttle service from the park entrance. Facilities include flush toilets, pit vault restrooms, potable water, picnic tables, and fire grates at all sites. Food lockers are available for tent campers. No electrical hookups, water hookups, showers, or laundry facilities are provided. The nearby Mountain Vista area offers hiking opportunities and scenic views. Generator hours are restricted to 8am-10am and 4pm-8pm, with quiet hours from 10pm to 6am.
