White Earth is a Bureau of Reclamation campground on Canyon Ferry Reservoir, located approximately 13 miles north of Townsend via US Highway 287, then 5 miles east on a county road near the town of Winston. The campground offers 36 sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring, and has vault toilets, potable water during peak season, and a boat launch. A group-use shelter is also available at the site. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov. Full services run from early May through mid-September; off-season camping is available at no charge but services are limited.
