Goose Bay Marina & Campground sits on the eastern shore of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, about 3 miles down a dirt road north of Townsend. Managed by the Bureau of Reclamation and operated by a concessionaire, the campground offers 93 sites across three loops — 19 rustic (no hookups), 27 electric-only, and 45 full hookup (electric, water, sewer). The on-site marina provides boat slips, fuel, and a free courtesy launch for overnight guests. A camp store stocks basics including ice and firewood. Kayak and paddleboard rentals are available at the rental shack. Additional amenities include showers, flush toilets, an RV dump station, volleyball court, and horseshoe pits. The season typically runs May through September, though water service may be limited in early May. Reservations are accepted.
