Cottonwood is a small, free campground on the southern end of Canyon Ferry Reservoir, managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks as part of the Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area. Four first-come, first-served sites sit along a side channel of the Missouri River, with a nearby boat ramp offering direct fishing access. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring; a vault toilet is on-site. No water or trash service is provided — pack everything in and out. Maximum recommended trailer length is 28 feet. The campground lies within a working wildlife management area that supports waterfowl, upland game birds, and big game species.
