River Marsh Campground sits on the northwest shore of Lower Red Rock Lake within Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge at roughly 6,600 feet elevation. The site is an open grassland setting with vault toilets and fire rings — no potable water is available, so visitors must bring their own. No electricity is provided. The campground is well-suited to larger vehicles and RVs, and offers excellent access for wildlife observation, particularly waterfowl and wading birds along the refuge's wetlands. Camping is first-come, first-served with a 16-consecutive-day limit. Bear-safe food storage containers are available on-site.
