Vigilante Campground sits along Grasshopper Creek inside Bannack State Park, adjacent to Montana's most intact ghost town and former territorial capital. Sites are shaded by cottonwood trees and accommodate both tents and RVs. Vault toilets are available on-site; potable water is provided seasonally during summer. No electrical hookups are offered. Campsites can be reserved through Montana State Parks, with a small number held for walk-in use. Direct access to the historic Bannack townsite lets visitors explore more than 50 original 19th-century buildings on foot from camp. No cell service is available at the park.
