A scenic campground nestled in the temperate rainforest of Prince of Wales Island on the shores of Balls Lake. Surrounded by old-growth spruce and hemlock, the area offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, hiking, fishing, and paddling. An interpretive trail parallels the lake for approximately 1,800 feet with views of the Thorne Mountains. The 2.5-mile Balls Lake Trail allows visitors to explore the shoreline where eagles, bears, salmon, swans, and various waterfowl are commonly observed.
