Eklutna Alex is a backcountry campsite at Eklutna Lake in Chugach State Park, accessible via the main campground at the end of Eklutna Lake Road. This primitive, leave-no-trace site offers wilderness camping along the seven-mile glacial lake surrounded by mile-high peaks. Summer activities include hiking, biking, horseback riding, and boating, while winter brings cross-country skiing and dog mushing. Located about 22 miles from Anchorage with 15-night consecutive stay limit.
