A remote backcountry campsite located about 8.5 miles along the Eklutna Lakeside Trail at the southeast end of Eklutna Lake. The site sits next to Bold Airstrip, a historical bush plane landing strip still occasionally used by small aircraft. Facilities are minimal with picnic tables and fire rings. A shared bear-proof food storage locker is available. There are no toilets; this is a leave-no-trace camping area. Popular as a staging point for climbers heading to Bold Peak or Bashful Peak. Access is by hiking, biking, or ATV on permitted days from the Eklutna Lake trailhead.
