Cooper Hill Conservation Area encompasses 203.8 acres at the confluence of Third Creek and the Gasconade River near Linn. The area offers primitive open camping for walk-in, float-in, and backpack access, limited to 14 consecutive days in any 30-day period. Hand-launch boat access to the Gasconade River is available via a short walk from the parking area. No developed facilities are provided. The area is generally open 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, though camping, fishing, hunting, and boat launching are allowed 24 hours. Groups larger than 10 require a special use permit obtained 30 days in advance. Located from Mt. Sterling via Route A south 2.5 miles, then Route D west 2.75 miles.
