An Alabama state park positioned atop Sand Mountain, spanning DeKalb, Jackson, and Marshall counties. The park encompasses over 15 miles of hiking trails and features Point Rock scenic overlook. In addition to traditional camping offerings, Buck's Pocket contains Alabama's first state park off-highway vehicle trail, a six-mile route through hardwood forest. The campground section provides 23 RV sites with varying hookup configurations and 11 primitive tent sites. RV sites include concrete pads, picnic tables, fire pits, and grills. Modern amenities include high-speed wireless internet in the main camping area and accessible bathhouse facilities.
