A Chugach National Forest campground with 13 wooded sites along Ptarmigan Creek at Mile 23 of the Seward Highway. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. The campground offers drinking water, vault toilets, and firewood for purchase. Popular activities include fishing for Dolly Varden and rainbow trout, hiking the Ptarmigan Lake Trail, and viewing red salmon spawning from late August to early September. Wildlife viewing opportunities include moose, bears, sheep, and goats. Reservations accepted through Recreation.gov.
