Coalition is a primitive campsite at the Coalition Trailhead in Kachemak Bay State Park, located near the West Lagoon cabin at Halibut Cove Lagoon. This boat-in or fly-in only site provides basic camping facilities accessible via the Coalition Trail which connects Halibut Cove Lagoon with China Poot Bay. The trail climbs over a low ridge with scenic views before descending to China Poot Bay. Mooring buoys are available offshore for boat access. Visitors must hang food 15 feet high, away from camp, due to bear activity in the area. Access is only by boat or floatplane from Homer.
