A 332-acre wooded recreation area surrounding Johnson Lake with 48 campsites and 16 day-use parking sites. Located fifteen miles south of Soldotna off the Sterling Highway at milepost 110, accessible via Johnson Lake Road and Tustumena Lake Road. Maximum RV length is 35 feet with a 15-day camping limit. ADA-accessible facilities include toilets, water, picnic shelters, and boat launch. Features a group picnic area requiring reservations for groups over 12. Popular activities include camping, fishing for rainbow trout, canoeing, and walking. Some sites available via ReserveAmerica reservation, others first-come, first-served. Operating season: June 1 through September 30.
