A Chugach National Forest campground located at Mile 64 of the Seward Highway along Granite Creek near Turnagain Pass. The facility offers 19 wooded sites in a loop configuration, approximately one hour south of Anchorage or one hour north of Seward. Summer amenities include vault toilets, a hand-operated water pump, trash collection, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear-proof food lockers. The campground sits near the Johnson Pass North Trailhead, which provides access to a well-maintained 23-mile trail with mountain vistas. Wildlife viewing opportunities include moose, black and brown bears, marmots, and mountain goats. The glacier-fed Granite Creek flows through the area, and nearby Sixmile Creek offers Class V whitewater for rafts and kayaks.
