Snake River Ford (site 8C6) is a designated backcountry campsite located near a major ford crossing of the Snake River in southern Yellowstone National Park. This walk-in site is positioned along the Heart Lake Trail and South Boundary Trail system. The ford crossing near the site can be challenging during high water periods but becomes more manageable by mid-August. The campsite accommodates up to 8 backpackers.
