Moose Creek Beach (site 8Q7) is a boat-in backcountry campsite located on the southeast shore of Shoshone Lake in Yellowstone National Park, between the Lewis River Channel and Moose Creek. This designated backcountry site provides primitive vault toilet facilities and bear poles for food storage, with the campsite situated right on the beach backed by a beautiful meadow and Moose Creek. No wood fires are allowed at any Shoshone Lake campsites - only propane or white gas stoves are permitted. Due to potentially wet conditions, site 8Q7 may not be reserved for camping on dates before July 15, though permits may be obtained when visitors arrive if conditions are suitable. A backcountry permit is required for overnight stays and must be picked up at the South Entrance, Grant Village, or Bridge Bay backcountry offices. Maximum party size is 8 people.
